MEET JAMES
James has always been driven by a passion for creating inclusive spaces where everyone feels they belong.
As someone who has navigated the challenges of dyspraxia, James knows firsthand the importance of fostering environments that embrace diversity and adaptability.
His personal journey has inspired his commitment to building spaces that are not only functional but also welcoming.
James’s love for padel and his belief in its potential to bring people together fuel his dedication to Padel Society.
Born out of Independent Britain
James spent his career creating spaces that empower independent businesses and entrepreneurs. A leader in placemaking and co-working, he has helped expand FOUNDRY, a thriving co-working brand to grow to what it is today.
At the heart of James’s work is a passion for independent retailers and local economies. He has championed initiatives that help small businesses navigate challenges, ensuring long-term sustainability. By transforming underutilised spaces into lively, community-driven destinations, he has revitalised local economies and fostered strong business ecosystems.
Amidst these ventures, James discovered padel, a sport that blends competition, inclusivity, and social engagement. Seeing its potential to bring people together, he founded Padel Society—not just as a sports club, but as a movement to make padel more accessible and build a thriving, connected community.
